My Mini is way too small, the clutch is too hard, it sucks in traffic, my transmission sucks, I don't get good enough gas milage, the steering is too heavy, and the seats hurt my back! I bought that Mini back when I used to drive way too fast on public roads. Now I want a giant ass mercedes with a smooth v8 with a recliner for a seat and a smooth automatic transmission. Yeah, I'm old now get off my lawn.

You need to get a W126 560SEL... or a W140 S500. :D

Avoid the 2000-2006 S class... and if you can wing it, you can get a 2007-2009 one for under $30k now!

I really like the SELs! I saw a 1994 one on Autotrader for 3k! But I really would like an e500 or any v8 E class because I've heard the E classes are the most reliable.

Manual transmission isn't hard to do. It just hurts my back and my hip especially with the stiff clutch on the first gen Mini. If I got another manual it would have to have a soft clutch for me to like it (I really like the clutch in my brothers Civic Si). Also my transmission is just really screwed up.

So much brapp. It really sounds like performance.

And I've got a stage 3 clutch in the m3. My left leg is strong but wouldnt change a thing. My girl's gti is nice with the dsg but not the same.

I can recommend a FR-S, the clutch is super duper light, but it is kind of hard to catch at first, but you get used to it.

That's a surprise, I would think a car like the FRS would have a stiff clutch. That's a pleasant surprise for if I ever decide to pick one up later on!

It's weird how I almost said 190E.

There's this dude in my neighborhood who drives a diesel W-something, I have to talk to him one day about owning it.

Get a V12 one. Because it's awesome.

My 17 Years old W140 S600 can do 0-60 in 5 seconds, desipite she weighs 2.2 Tonnes, thanks to the V12.

I think V8 only worked for a smaller merc, except SL-Class.

I couldn't afford to put gas in a v12! What does it get? 7 miles to the gallon? Though it would be awesome.

Well, depends on how you drive.

Mine get 12 on highway, 8 on traffic.

And I was lucky to live in a country where gas is subsidized, so it's only 2.9 bucks per gallon!

Add Jalopnik points for getting a diesel.

I'm going for the high mileage badges. Plus good fuel economy.

And since it's an E-Class, you don't get the insane repair bills of say, a W140 S-Class. Some of the repairs you can even do yourself.

I have a 1999 E300 Turbodiesel. Normally I've gotten about 27-28MPG in mixed driving.

Ya. It's a new price for this year, to be honest.
Last year it was priced 1.8 US$/Gallon.

What model?

2006 (last year first gen) naturally aspirated with a stick.
